Overheard while standing in line for Bourne Ultimatum; a dad and his twelve(?)-year old son.

Kid: Dad, you're a nerd.

Dad: No I'm not. Give me one reason.

Kid: You watch Star Trek.

Dad: Only the original!

Kid: You wish you could speak Klingon!

Dad: Well, yeah, so? I'm not a nerd.

hell, yeah!

i'm never sure whether i'm a nerd/geek or if i just love 'em. many, many of my friends are nerds/geeks. it's good.

Yeah, there's a lot of debate over the differences between the term. I suppose if you wanted to be really nitpicky, unless you bite heads off chickens, you're not a geek.

I suspect the definition has evolved since then, however.
