And, while I always found you to be a very curious person, you've never come off as nosey, that I noticed. I'm not terribly outgoing, in some ways, but I LOVE to talk about myself, so it's always good to have someone ask lots of questions. ;)

I think most people don't think Enoch is nosey b/c he gives them opportunities to talk about themselves :). I think the people he strikes that way are people who, strangely enough, don't.

re: #3: Meranthi & I do this occasionally, too, usually to each other. Something about following more associations internally but forgetting to inform everyone else of them when you back into the conversation. It's especially confusing/comical when we've gone on to talk about some other subject entirely, then some new thought from the old topic pops out into a gap. This is why they teach you to be clear about antecedents in school. ;-)

That's exactly what it is. I've made some really amusing ones, and I've gotten better at tossing out a side-long explanation of how I got to the subject at hand.

I make weird topical jumps, usually anchored by a single word or concept only obvious to myself.

I do this too.

You know, I think #3 is probably a fairly common geek quirk. In fact, one might make an argument that this particular whimsical associative process is key to our supreme power!
