I saw a Puggle puppy yesterday. It was adorable. I found myself later wondering though, what would it sound like? A Pug is kinda snuffly and yippy, Beagles are howlers... would it snowl?

I would be remiss if I didn't thank stone_princess for her monkey butt!

I once hear the term Puggle, reference to a pug/poodle cross.

Animal-guru Roger Caras was talking about some of his dogs that accidently mated, and those were the results. He said they were ugliest dogs ever, but luckily, someone thought they were cute and took them in.

You'd probably like Roger Caras' stuff: check out "A dog is listening", and "the cats of thistle hill farm" as well as his other pet stuff. He wrote a lot about wild animals too, but I love his anecdotes on the domestic front.

*grin* I have a friend who is perpetually in search of yellow, floppy-eared dogs. Finding one that isn't a retriever, a lab, or a beagle is tough.

They also have listings of Poos (poodle mixes). Like Boxerdoodle and Doodleman Pinscher.
