I want time to slow down.

So I'm one chapter away from finishing "Neptune's Brood" by Charles Stross, but I just wanted to get down some thoughts I've had about it before I forget. So the passage of time seems continuous right? It seems so obvious that some would take it as an a priori truth about reality.
