Portrait Class Results

In June, I attended a china painting portrait class being taught by Marty Hill, a well-known (in china circles) portrait painter.  I used a copy of an old painting that I had admired for years as my subject. (everyone could use any subject they wanted...I was the only one to NOT do a relative...)

This is really gorgeous -- fits the period of the reference inmage beautifully. I'm awfully partial to the earlier stage, as well. They're both lovely in their own way.
