congrats on getting home. I flew Lufthansia from Bangkok to Frankfurt and initially thought, hey heaps of leg room (it was a night flight or 2am flight LOL) this isn't as bad as I thought- despite the fact they served a meal at 2am after I had just got off a thai airlines flight and already eaten heaps and just wanted to sleep. However the flight from Frankfurt to Los Angeles was one of the most unpleasant flights I have ever been on - no leg room whatsoever and lousy food and service. I only flew them because my travel agent organised it but will never fly em again if I can help it. The flight from Frankfurt to London was lovely though. Smaller plane and more comfortable.

oh dear - did your mother got home alright?

to be honest, I normally avoid Lufthansa because they are so expensive - but they were only ones with an alternative flight
