The next Macaroni Grill opening I'm doing is this Saturday from Nov. 27th thru Dec. 8th ............... and from reading the new itinerary I got, I'm going to be a happy camper. We were spoiled on the last opening in Portland, Oregon (well Hilsboro to be exact). I just got back from that one two Saturdays ago. We had suites baby. You don't ( Read more... )

Lynnwood is a starting-to-expand city north of the downtown area (about 12 miles) and there isn't much to do at night (i.e. after the local mall hours are up... after 10). Lots of teenagers (huge local and recently expanded mall) and older folks (retirement is highly concentrated). You want to head to Pioneer Square in Seattle itself. That's the nightlife. Not too far by cab at all. That's the area of Seattle you're looking for.

Well we have rental cars and a buddy of mine (a head chef) lives down there so I plan getting out alot with him. There's gotta be a few local bars that way though right? 12 miles from all the fun isn't that bad. That's like driving from Scottsdale to Tempe which is a short trip.

eep. I dont want to burst your bubble but the Lynnwood area doens't really have many bars. If they do, they are way small, local, and probably not a great way to take in the city itself... (and I've never heard of them.) You want to go to Seattle. You'll notice, as you progress towards the city, more lights, more life, more people, more action. Lynnwood is good.... but it is merely an expanding business area. Like I said, the (retail) fun goes away after 10. It's also a 95% Caucasian city. Get your ass on the I-5 and head to Seattle for the good stuff. You'll know what I'm talking about as you notice more and more action as you head towards the high rises and the lights.

You are funny.

Some parts of the year I commute almost an hour to Seattle a few times a week. Lynnwood isn't going to have any good bars but Seattle will. Seattle is going to be further then you are used to though. It will be worth it.

Seattle has a big bar/club scene around the Space Needle and down near the Waterfront in a place called Pioneer Square.

You know there is a Macaroni Grill within walking distance of my place. I think they need to do a re-opening.

BTW you my dear may have me as your neighbor for a month.

How cold? I am kind've looking forward to it. Is it raining like crazy? I hope not. We lucked out in Portland, it only rained half the time and it wasn't really a down pour. Definately got more sun than I could've ever imagined.

Somebody was trying to convince me that I'd see it dryer than normal due to La Nina side effects pushing all the normal wetness down towards the southwest. It is exceptionally rainy down here.
