And second, I was crying by number eight, and legit had to take a break after ten, because I was seriously worried I was about to hyperventilate. I'm saving however many is left for when I need a pick-me up. That is the best thing ever. Thanks for sharing!
I do find myself wondering why on earth do people use autocorrect?
Also - the 'suggestions' list on my phone (as in the one that shows 'fingering yourself' in the article) learns from my usage (if I put Sunday, for example, it always suggest School as the next word - this does not happen on D-d's almost identical phone - if she puts in Sunday its first option is 'afternoon') - so if autocorrect works the same way the reason it puts in some of the words is because the person uses them regularly... :)
Well, with the iPhone, you don't really use autocorrect, it just sort of happens. You can use it to text faster, but it responds to your language. So, if there's a word you use a lot, it will come up on autocorrect. For example, if you use a swear word a lot, that will come up. My admin uses cocksucker often, and when she types "co" that's the first option.

Oh dear - how ridiculous; you mean you can't just turn it off? I always turned it off on my old phones where it was an option. I think I prefer mine where it simply gives you a list of four or five words to choose from, changing them as you type in more letters if the word you wanted wasn't there, just like my tablet. Much, much faster, too, than desperately trying to correct wrong words.
The iPhone version is very funny though as it gives other people a very good insight into what you tend to talk about...
Well, technically you can shut it off; it's just that not many people do. With my iPhone (I have a newer version), it usually gives me options to choose from, and that's what I do. But if there's a word you don't use often, and the autocorrect doesn't recognize it, it will often change the word to something it thinks is the correct one. Which has very funny results at times.
I think one time I was getting sick and I texted Tyson as much. He meant to say "booo" but autocorrect changed it to "boring." I was amused after he explained.

I seriously thought I was not going to be able to breathe. Dangerous stuff, even without liquids.
My favorite has always been the PG-13, "Autocorrect, I am tired of your shirt." But I may need to upgrade that.
