History is my favorite subject too.
I read an interesting biography this summer that might interest you too. For the book club that I belong to in Durango, we read a book called Dreamers of the Day, which was okay but not outstanding. However, it incorporates historical characters like T.E. Lawrence, Winston Churchill, Gertrude Bell, etc. Well, Gertrude Bell is one of those ultra fascinating women.
