It's been a few weeks since I posted, but I'm finally getting caught up. On April 9th I headed to Omiya Koen (Omiya park) to see the cherry blossoms.

So, today was one of the days I'd been dreading a bit...I was going to be meeting the Board of Education (BoE).

So I left the hotel Saturday morning with a plan. First drop off my bags at KuroNeko (a delivery service). Then go pick up the key. Drop off my carry-on & laptop bag, then pick up the necessities (futon, dishes, food, etc), and be back in time for the power, water and gas guys around 5pm. Well today I swam and biked, and realized I'm still not 100% over the chest cold I had 3 or 4 weeks ago.  I spent most of the workout wheezing at the end of every breath.  But I'm going to push through this week and do my best on Sunday.  I also tried wearing a tentitive outfit for the race, and I have to do a run check tomorrow but it seems to be ( Read more... )

I ran 2 days in a row, thanks to my cousin who's also do the triathlon.  Mind you she also swam and biked before running with me, but she's always been a big athlete so I try to remind myself of that so I don't feel like such a loser ( Read more... )

I got out and did 20 minutes of biking, got about 7km.  Which doesn't sound so great, but the trail is curved, with spots where I was forced to slow right down because you can't see what's coming or they've put up poles to prevent the snowmobilers so I have to slow right down to thread the space.  So I figure it's probably equivilant to really ( Read more... )
