These three women are demonstrating a very brave and important form of activism - which needs to be very widely and visibly supported by people all over the world. This kind of activism is what changes the minds of those running brutal and repressive regimes. What needs to be commented on by such activism certainly includes what happens here in North America - even though the forms of repression are more subtle and yet pervasive...

Fear, Despair and Memory

The fear of fear (fear is a sort of pain) , expressed in the letter comes from the right intuition that the real expierenced fear comes up, every time it is rememberd, with the same intensity. A small part of fear is due to the unkonwn of the future occurence of the feard actions and ist consequences, while despair is(=) facing unavoidable pain
