Bikram journal, in no particular order (3 classes this week so far)

So we're going to classes at the brand-new Redmond studio (Angela- 10 for $10 here, it's dirt cheap!), which has been interesting and good. It's a non-carpeted studio (doesn't stink- we turn toward the side mirror for some of the standing poses to stay on our mats), so it doesn't stink... the owner's on good terms with Bikram, and just didn't say ( Read more... )

I almost went there but then took up the Renton studio on its very.good.deal $500 for a year unlimited.

My credit card and dear grandmother have agreed to help make the budget work for this year. This means i've commited to Bikram for at least 12 months!!! How exciting.

I want Jim to try it at LEAST once, and I would like to try Redmond's. It is just they don't have 8:30 classes that I know of, and those are the ones that best fit into my work schedule these days. Except I've been adjusting my work hrs for the F&()@%*(@) up snow.

:( If I had known they were holding class this morning in Redmond, I WOULD have gone. Sad!!!!

OH - the catch on the $500 year? I had to sign up immediately following my 1 week unlimited pass. I decided after much deliberating that I should do it.

So you're in town huh? Badass.

Booze.
Funny you mention that - but yesterday evening I had drunk wine and a tiny bit of hard A - and I swear it totally screwed over my yoga the next day. I felt disgusting and was NOT as responsive in class as normal. All the standing poses were really hard and usually I can get a handle on them -
WOW.

So I DO find it amusing to hear what you're saying about the wine. I love wine but dayum does it make me want to hesitate on the consumption after seeing what it does to my class, if you know what I mean.
And then it signals to me so very much HOW much it affects my entire body/system. It's a wonderful and also a bit freaky thing! Suddenly it is all so obvious. NOt only do I just *know* it is not the best for me, but I can FEEL it in the way I perform in Yoga. Interesting indeed.

Spamming your LJ but whatever. lol.

No joke! It really affects how you manage EVERYTHING that goes into the body- I've started to find that my body tells me what to eat, an awareness I'm sure very few people have anymore.

RE Redmond studio- we might go tomorrow (there's a 10am class), and we'll be in town until Friday or Saturday... if you want to catch a class together, we should coordinate! The whole brood here has been going, community effort :)
