[he shouldn't be trying to use his arm yet-- he knows this fact; it hasn't even been twenty-four hours since the surgery. The pain is severe enough to warrant a distraction however, so he goes for the journal. ...Unfortunately, the thing is resting off to his left, making it only reachable by one shiny brand-new limb.

So... the residents are soon ( Read more... )

[There should be a rather familiar presence that will be around the clinic almost constantly. He was also nearby during the surgery. Really, should Legato be so surprise that Vash is attempting to keep an eye on him without actually going into the clinic?

Of course, he'll be watching that journal entry like a hawk while he's at it.]

[he'll let it go for a little while, keeping tabs on Vash in whatever vague amount of amusement he can find in this state. Eventually, however... Vash will get a familiar, if exhausted-sounding, voice in his head]

Have you come to check up on me, Vash? I'm touched.

[Ugh, that's so creepy, but really it isn't too unexpected.]

I heard you were getting some help. I wanted to be sure you're not the type to bite the hand that feeds.

And why would I even think of doing something like that?

[ catching up what happened in the village after a few days of camping is... actually quite an achievable feat actually and McCoy is milling around in the clinic checking out the stock supply. ]

[there is one new patient in pretty shitty shape hanging out in your clinic, Doc. He's painfully attempting to flex his new metal fingers, and keeping half his brain idly spying on you as an attempted distraction]

[ hah, this has never been his clinic! call it creative differences with the owner or a surplus of ego on his part, but he long ago defected to the more advanced facilities in the battle dome. McCoy's aware of the pair of eyes burning into his back as he scribbles a few notes in his journal and he'll turn round to see if he needs anything when he's finished. ]

[funny how that feeling comes with Legato not having to look at him at all. He may not be watching him with his eyes, but he is most certainly watching nonetheless.

His eyes are instead on his newly-attached metal arm, jaw set tight against the pain, watching as the fingers refuse to cooperate, save for a few erratic twitches.]

[It hadn't been a surprise to Edward that Winry wanted to visit the clinic and check up on her patient, and it shouldn't have been any surprise to Winry that Edward wanted to tag along just in case. Edward being in the room itself, would be too suspicious though, just like before, so once they're inside the clinic, he stuffs his hands into his pockets and leans on the wall beside the door, looking wary and downright uncomfortable about the situation. He'll stay put unless she needs him, or if something seems off to him, but otherwise he'll leave her be.

He can't help but feel really worried, though he's struggling not to let it show too much. He hates not being able to keep a proper watch over her.]

Winry... be careful in there, okay? [And don't do anything dangerous.]

Of course. [She gives him a small smile. It'll be okay. I promise.

And with that she walks in the room, steeling herself to meet her psycho-patient. Once in Winry presents herself by Legato's bedside.]

Hey, Mr. Bluesummers. I'm her for a little follow up. How is everything?

[though he was already very much awake, he's a little sluggish in dragging his eyes open to meet hers. ...He frankly looks like hell.

He casts one halfheartedly annoyed glance down at his fallen journal before answering]

Tedious. As I expect it is supposed to be, at this stage.

Have you been eating and drinking properly? What about sleep? [She notes his appearance before bending down to pick up the journal. She shuts it before placing it on a table beside the bed.]
