I didn't like the cliffhanger. There was too many layers, it had got silly. It was tense ... then it was tense ... I think the soundtrack is too loud .. then it was tense ... yeah, this is dragging now. There was such snappy editing in the rest of the episode, why is this dragging so much?
Aside from that, really enjoyed it. I'm hoping Moffat/Gattiss are permitted two christmas specials.
Despite fingering the bad guy (ooerr)I did really like it right until the big reveal. Jim Moriarty didn't seem to have the gravitas I expected him to. Mycroft for example was wonderful as a Moriaty decoy, then we get an Alan Cumming's from the High Life impression.
