I agree 100%! The guy has permanent nerve damage for fuck's sake! Key word there: permanent.
Like you said before, it's so annoying that TPTB are ignoring this issue.

Anyway, great fic! ^_^ I love you!

Ah, a whumped John. Color me happy. I'm in agreement with your perception of John's physical issues. I still love the show but they should have addressed that physical side and not given into pressure from the network or even Michael himself regarding the cane prop. They dropped the headache issue too and there was really no reason for that. A few lines of dialogue would have sufficed as opposed to product placement that implied that the headaches were still there when it was really a chance to plug Tylenol. Sheesh.

Thanks so much. Great job!

Thank you. =) What's interesting is that in season four's "Vanguard" there is a bottle of Tylenol sitting on the Bannerman's counter that Johnny goes to; he says it's from playing Xbox with JJ, but it seems to me it would better fit with headaches symtomatic of dealing with the apocalyptic visions. (I'm working on a Vanguard story right now, actually, but it's definately slash...)

I'm glad you liked it!

Babble On also featured a Tylenol bottle when John was dealing with the visions of his father spawned by the sanding in the house. The Vanguard placement had me thinking they were returning to the Armageddon headaches. Of course we were wrong and I'm still annoyed about that. Talk about your missed opportunities!

Babble On, now there's an episode I need to revisit and write on... I remember being fascinated by the possibilities from that episode. (Interesting potential for backstory about Purdy and his friendship with Johnny's father)

I still have about four episodes of last season to watch! I better get to those (thank you Tivo!) before the next season starts. I honestly don't know what to expect anymore! But I really love the cast, and there's still the core of excellence there thanks to fantastic characters.

But Johnny, you look so suave and debonair with the cane. And Bruce can use it to thwack you over the head when you're acting all stubborn (or to keep the girls away ) :)

lol! Yes, Bruce would probably thwack him now and again. ;) If I can motivate myself to attempt drawing... that will totally make it into a comic-ish piece.

Thank you. =)

like that Bruce is telling Johnny the hard truth

I doubt that Bruce is his "official" PT person anymore, but Bruce's job is to take care of people and getting their body's functional again. =p You'd think he'd get more than a little irked with Johnny messing things up.

I really liked the story. I'm a big fan of post-whump tales, and I love the cane.

Do you want a spot of crit?

What threw me out of the story was Bruce's framing Johnny as "the psychic" throughout. It seems like Bruce is the only person in Johnny's life to really see him as the whole man, not just psychic abilities, or the old boyfriend, or whatever, and Bruce's POV could reflect that more strongly with a different word choice.

That's a good point. I appreciate the crit. =) I'm glad you liked it! I love this series' characters...
