I glared at the mummified cat perched on my stomach. "Don't you know better than to startle someone awake like that?" I bitched, returning the knife to its place under my pillow. "I could have, eh, I guess I couldn't kill you, you undead asshole. But I could have unmade you."
I grinned at my own dark humor. I did have a reputation. Niko wouldn't find my little joke amusing, however. Good thing he hadn't heard me say it. He'd run me ten miles this morning instead of five.
Spartacus croaked out a meow, his eye sockets flickering at me.
