Summary: Harry is full of surprises.

Draco strolled through the lounge on his way to the kitchen, absently noting Harry, who was seated on the sofa with his legs stretched out in front of him. Draco took two more steps and then halted. He turned to face his husband fully, brows climbing nearly to his hairline.

"Are you writing in your pregnancy diary?" he asked.

Harry didn't bother looking up from where his quill was scratching away at the pages of the dark green book. "No."

Draco planted his hands on his hips. "Yes, you are."

"Bugger off."

With a grin, Draco crossed the room and sat at the other end of the sofa. He retrieved his own journal, this one bound in a deep, dark blue, and opened it.

"May I borrow your quill?" he asked.

"No."

"Harry!" cried Draco, aghast at being denied.

"You're the one who insisted I write in this bloody thing," said Harry. "Would you like me to stop, just so you may borrow my quill?"

"Hmpf," Draco snorted. He drew his wand and called out, "Accio!", summoning another quill over. He opened his journal and hesitated, unsure what to add to it. Meanwhile, Harry continued to write like a man possessed.

"What are you writing about?" Draco asked politely.

"It's none of your business," Harry told him.

"It is too my business!" Draco snapped. "You're my husband, and that's my baby!"

Harry laughed at him. "If you must know, I'm telling my baby how you dragged me all over in the quest for paternity clothing."

Draco's jaw tightened. "Are you trying to make me look bad?"

"It's not as if I need to put any effort into it," Harry replied. He peered up at Draco through his fringe and smirked.

Draco leaned over and made a grab for Harry's pregnancy diary. "Give me that," he snarled. "I'm going to write a rebuttal."

"Write it in your own diary, Sally!"

In the ensuing tussle, Draco ended up draped over Harry's body on the sofa. They both froze, noses inches apart, and then their mouths met in a hungry kiss.

The journals fell to the floor, forgotten, and were soon buried beneath a layer of cast-off clothing.
