Summary: Harry and Draco meet again.

Harry had never been good at asking anyone for a date. He'd fumbled through it during his school years, and it hadn't gotten any easier now that he was an adult. To spare himself the embarrassment, he usually didn't even bother trying. Now, however, he had just encountered Draco Malfoy, of all people, outside of Quality Quidditch Supplies in Diagon Alley. He'd had a crush on the sophisticated Slytherin ever since Malfoy had defected to the Order of the Phoenix prior to his seventh year at Hogwarts. Harry had been too busy and too shy to approach Malfoy then, but now...now he didn't want the opportunity to pass him by.

Mustering his courage, Harry looked Malfoy straight in the eye and managed to blurt, "Would...would you care to go for coffee, or something...?"

Draco grinned at Potter's discomfiture. He couldn't believe his good luck in meeting the former Gryffindor here. He'd been attracted to Potter for as long as he could remember, and now the object of his desire was trying in his own bumbling-yet-charming manner to ask him out. With the careful cunning of one used to getting what he wanted, Draco responded to Potter's invitation by issuing one of his own. "Why don't we have dinner this evening and make it a real date?"
