It would appear my assertions that I would never become a warden were not entirely founded in fact. Of course, three months' consideration on the matter has been enough to sway my mind, not to mention the generous offer from the Admiral. I had no idea the wardens were offered something in exchange for their services.
It certainly casts an entirely new light on your attempts to reform the inmates. Greed is a powerful motivator, no doubt.
This isn't, of course, to insult the warden population. After all, I am one of you now, and to insinuate that you're all covetous, grasping, bottom-dwelling charlatans would be to suggest the same of myself - and we wouldn't want that, now would we?
So enlighten me, then: what have I missed?
