[On hearing the soft rustle of someone approaching Gideon cranes his head up to peer over the tufts of long grass. He smiles loosely at the impending figure and realises he knows this man from a previous conversation ...about living in trees, he remembers.]
Ah. Hello there!

The man who'd rather live in trees... hello. [ He smoothly drops down into the grass near to Gideon, practically sprawling immediately onto his back, though he momentarily restrains himself. Small flowers burst around his fingertips, where he touches the ground, an array of unnamed pinks and purples. ]

[he opens his mouth to reply but his breath is caught in abrupt fascination as he stares at the flower bursts elicited by Tristan's touch. Gideon unashamedly stares with a half-confused, half-wondering smile before leaning towards the little flowers with a hesitantly pointing finger]
Sorry, but how on earth are you doing that?

[He pinches his shirt and slowly brings it up to his nose to sniff it once. He lowers it again and wipes his hand. He looks as pleased as a cat in a stupid costume.]
I think I'm allergic.

You may notice some rustling and shuffling nearby, and soon you will be able to see an excessively large and highly fluffy cat approaching - so large it is practically the size of a small dog - with the deadest eyes imaginable. ]

And he decides he's spent enough time observing it.]
Did I mention it's contagious?
Reply
Don't be so stupid, allergies aren't contagious! What nonsense.

There is a wreath of yellow flowers in her hair, and instead of the baggy, ill-fitting jumpers and t-shirts that she prefers under normal circumstances, she is dressed in floaty, cream coloured dress - currently slightly bunched up around her knees as she tentatively dips her bare toes into the shallow waters of a stream, weaving its wave between meadow and the forest. She giggles lightly at the cool temperature of the water, but advances bravely, nonetheless! ]

So he stays in his place, visible enough to wait for her to notice him before he says hello.]

Jerry! [ Her smile brightens even more, and she waves, moving towards him. ]

I would have said hello, but I couldn't possibly interrupt such a blissful moment.

SEE WHAT I DID THERE ]

Weren't you taller?

[ Elliot ambles over, smiling down at him pleasantly. ] I could have asked you the same.

But he's sure this will pass, just like every other place he's been placed in recently, so he lies down on the grass and waits.]

She only notices the boy laying down on the grass when she basically walks by him, looking at him casually, and then jumping as she spots him. She wasn't expecting to see a boy there. ]
Oh. Sorry. [ Just a kid, after all. ] I wasn't expecting to see you there.

It's okay.

Are you from... here? [ Wherever here is.
One would figure you'd get used to it by now, but nope. ]
