[ Oxford is in a library. In fact, it is a very specific library - the Bodleian Library, most famously known, nowadays, for being a location in the Harry Potter films, much to Oxford's endless annoyance.

He's wandering idly amongst the shelves, admiring the books, but not looking for anything. He simply enjoys the atmosphere. ]

You have excellent taste, I cannot dispute it. [ He grins broadly, tilting his chin upwards a little, because to be honest, he thrives on compliments. Vain, vain, vain. ] Rome, however, is what you might call a silver fox, though I must say of the few Italian cities I've met, Venice and Florence must take the prize of overwhelming beauty. Such beautiful, pleasant ladies! If most us were not posessed by a discomfort with flying and other forms of long distance travel, I am sure that we would all mingle more often.

[ ... thoughfully: ] Though I'm sure that would lead to a great number of disagreements and fights in the long-run.

[ Oxford isn't used to being quite so... open about these matter, but for some reason he just can't help himself. ]

( SHE JUST HAS THAT KIND OF EFFECT ON PEOPLE. Sometimes. ) I may have just a smidgen of personal bias, but who doesn't, really?
Oh, gosh, yes I suppose travel would be rather difficult, wouldn't it? ( A pause, and she's thinking about the places she has travelled, eyes shining a bit at how very exciting this is! Ahhh, child in a candy store, what? ) What about Helsinki? Oh, and Paris! Is New York nice? ( SO EXCITED SERIOUSLY.

Oh. But, yes, she nods a bit. ) I suppose that makes sense. Superior landmarks, biggest population, popularity overall. That sort of thing?

( Hmmmmm. ) What's Cambridge like?

I have never met Helsinki, sadly, amongst many other Scandinavian and northerly cities. Again, travelling limitations are most unfortunate for us. Paris, on the other hand, I have met on several occasions - rather grating after a while, and knows far too many unfortunate jokes about the British if allowed too much wine. New York is pleasant enough, if not a little arrogant at times. Of course, we are all posessed of endless arrogance, myself very much included, but we tend to see it more in the United States than ourselves, naturally. [ :') ]

[ Oh dear, Cambridge. Oxford will surely say something that he really doesn't meant to say on this topic. ]

Cambridge, frankly, is the worst of them all. [ Lightly: ] Overly confident, judgemental, callous, insufferable and annoyingly handsome to boot. [ ... well. ] I suppose you might call him my best friend, to a certain extent.
