When Casey was a little girl, there was no where she wanted to go more than Disney World. Every summer, their parents would call a family meeting and ask her and Rusty where they wanted to go on their annual family vacation, and every year Casey's answer would be the same.
Her mother would frown and mutter things about princesses being ant-feminist and brain washing, and her father would nod and then turn to Rusty with a smile on his face and ask him where he wanted to go.
They always ended up going where ever Rusty wanted to go.
They took a family trip to D.C. because Rusty wanted to go to the Air & Space museum to see the planes. Casey suffered through an incredibly painful donkey ride the summer that Rusty wanted to see the Grand Canyon. The time that Rusty wanted to go to New York, Casey was actually excited, hoping that just this once they'd get to do something she wanted too, like go to a Broadway musical or go window shopping on Madison Avenue, but they spend the entire time at the Museum of Natural History instead.
Casey went to a lot of museums because of Rusty and she never once got to go to Disney World, For a very long time she held that against him.
When she graduated from CRU, her parents offered to send her and a friend on a trip, anywhere Casey wanted. For a week, Casey thought about it, weighed her options, debated the possibilities. When she told her parents where she wanted to go, they were as surprised as she was.
She told them to buy her a trip to Disney World. She told them to put the other ticket in Rusty's name.
They had a wonderful time.
