I so wish I had the discipline to get up and go to the gym in the morning. I haven't been at all in the last few weeks and it makes me feel like a loser because I don't have anything else to do besides stuff around the house! I'm lame.

Whatever you can do is something, let me know if I can help, I know how hard it can be. Hopefully your foot is feeling better so you can DDR, or walk Abigail, I know you like that. Better yet, get Budokon back from Julie!

Yeah, I feel like DDR was a waste of money. I love it and I love doing it, but it has seriously effed up my foot. I need to get back in the habit of going to the gym, but it's just so inconvenient out here unless I go right after work (which I hate doing). It's been too cold to walk Abigail, which also sucks. I need to find her like, a heated bubble that she can walk in.

I totally called her out on still having it on Saturday! I really do miss it...

what gym do you go to? i have fitness usa and they dont open that early.

thats awesome that you are making a lifestyle change and i totally give you mad props. i myself couldnt cut meat out of my diet for a few reasons my main one being a huge picky eater. i personally would want to work on my eating habits and portions before i make such a drastic change.

My other friend jess, thats in japan, told me she's glad she went there because now she doesnt eat as much and has lost weight just from that. She has always been really active but with the change in servings, she was able to lose waight. i might also add that she isnt a big red meat eater and eats alot of wheat and fruit.

I got to Powerhouse gym, right on Telegraph a few blocks from my house. They open at 5am and close at 11pm, so I can work out before or after work no problem, and they're coed.

Thanks for the mad props, usually for me to make changes they have to be big changes, and I have to make the changes a habit (do it about 3 months) before I can deviate or make exceptions.

Portions do make a difference, I know that's what has helped Alex. I work on that too, but my diet has changed completely and I only drink water (other than the few drinks I've shared with Jenda on the Superbowl and on Saturday). I also work out several times a week now, so even if I don't lose weight or see the scale change for a while I definitely feel healthier. I have a lot more energy, and naturally, not just in a fake way from the caffeine dependency I'd developed during student teaching. I'm proud, it's a good change for me :)

I've been a veggie for almost 7 years now. I'll never go back. I admit I need get moving again because I have some extra weight I need to lose when I first dropped meat and ate nothing but junk. But I would never go back to eating meat ever again. Go to vegetariantimes.com they have a great database of recipes all of them have nutritional facts attached. I subscribe to their magazine and I love it.

That's really awesome, Jessi! I'm trying to get my eating habits on track but it's hard and I love a lot of terrible stuff. And for some reason I can't seem to motivate myself to get up and get moving. Hopefully I'll get it together soon!
