Going the Bodies Exhibit at The Detroit Science Center made me think about my life in a new way, which is always good, because I feel we are here to expand our experience and learn new things. The more I learn, the more I think that our purpose in life is to better ourselves, to move closer to evolving as a species, always striving for more

Nicely stated. I tend to agree with you here. I follow quite a different path then most people. I've learned many things about myself since I've been on this path, and I'm learning more and more as each day passes. You first need to love yourself, before you can love another, and I've truly come to accept that.

Life isn't about how many material possessions we can all own, its about what you make of it. How you learn, what you learn, and who you learn & grow with. I've come to accept many things in life, including the fact that my life won't be the pretty picture that I've painted it out to be. But I'm at peace with that. I have my education, my friends, my family, I'm in good health, and I have a faith that I truly believe in and fits me. What more could I need or desire? Yeah, if the world could view things as we do, it certainly would be a better place.

Anywho...just my thoughts!!

Thanks for sharing, you seem to be doing a lot of soul searching too, maybe it's just this age... I don't know, I find myself more and more disinterested in the material and superficial and wanting to question and search for meaning within myself. I appreciate the feedback, and check out the exhibit before it leaves if you get the chance. We bought a membership, it includes almost everything (even IMAX) except the special exhibits, but I can get you a discount and admission into the science center itself if you want to go.

Yes, soul searching isnt anything to new to me. I've been doing it an aweful lot lately. But sometimes its needed.

Way too many people disagree with that. I think if everybody felt way, they'd be a lot happier in the long run.

Exactly. Why do we give up on ourselves at a certain point? We always have potential for more growth, I hope I learn something new even on the day that I die.
