Wasp help?

Tonight I need to go collect wasps at Great Brooks Farm State Park. I would strongly prefer to do this after my game ends at 10pm, but I can leave earlier if I have to. I also need to bring a ladder (which I have). This can be strapped onto a car if it's alright with the car's owner, but I wanted to put that in. Can anyone give me

How big is the ladder? Could it fit _in_ a station wagon?
