Bees Ahoy

   Today Bobby and I killinated a swarm of bees that were in the anchor-chain box of a yacht in the Dana Point marina. That was pretty cool. We also killinated a swarm that were literally around 40ft up in a Eucalyptus (sp!?) tree in Lake Forest. you spelled it right and if I am correct which I am alot with plants you were either in eucalyptus viminalus (manna gum) or Eucalyptus citriodora (lemon eucalyptus smells of lemon) if it has a gnarly kinda bark it probably is the lemon one and if it was smooth it was probably the manna gum. Also it could be eucalyptus sideroxylon (ironwood) cause most other eucalyptus is really quite short. In socali there are all sorts of bugs actually killing the hardy trees mostly psillid (sorta like aphids. you can see an article right here http://www.wcisa.net/magDetails.asp?MagazineID=20&Detail=1. Ok my part is done haha hope you learned something that you can no longer keep out of your brain mwhahahahah.

Hmm it had smooth bark, and all the eucalyptus in Lake Forest are hecka tall.

Someone apparently thought they'd grow a lot of eucalyptus trees and sell them for firewood.. only koalawood don't burn so the plan was abandoned and now we have a random eucalyptus forest in South OC.
