Haha, yeah I would be complaining bitterly about the pictures too! The ones you did post are amazing, so I will just imagine them as all utterly mindblowing.
Snow at the equator sounds so trippy! Also, cloudforest, so cool!
I much prefer hiking up to down. Everyone else thinks I am crazy. I zoom up the mountains only to creep down them.
Seriously. Going down is no fun at all. At some point I did one of those Tough Mudder races that was ten miles of intense up and down and by the end I could still go uphill but could only go downhill by feebly crab-walking!
Not to single out one specific thing from your entry, but that's kind of what I do these days. Yeah, going downhill is murder. I've been jogging and walking these past six years and I've found that I'd much rather run up a hill than walk down one any day of the week. Something about going up hill, while toiling, makes me feel strong and in control. Going downhill makes me feel like gravity's puppet.
Lovely photos and another great travelogue here. Thank you for letting us all travel vicariously through you.
Let's continue with my little uphill/downhill obsession:
I did a ten mile "tough mudder" race that had lots of steep uphill and downhill once and by the end I could still go uphill but Ii had to feebly crabwalk sideways down any downhill :X
