I've been semi-regularly around reading things, but my mind flies completely blank whenever I attempt to post. So this is a partial attempt at catching up on oh, half of what I want to put up here, but lack time for.

yet I feel like they're always on the verge of breaking it open and doing something awesome and then they just don't quite.

There are such moments of awesome and it being exactly the sort of thing that makes me happiest that I sometimes feel bad about being so nervous. Especially, when it gives me ideas that I dislike, but then executes the emotional stuff so well, and mothers, and home and. *sigh*

I am so stuck on which River scene is most a tesseract! (hint: ALL OF THEM.) Totally throwing herself out of the airlock into the Tardis. ;) Or something like that!

I guess I'm the only one who kind of likes what happened, mostly because I think Olivia let the memory thing happen but she isn't as MD guy claimed 'essentially our Olivia Dunham'. I think Ourlivia's still there in the way she thanked Charlie for 'being her friend', for all their camaraderie I don't see altLivia saying something like that to Charlie.

And, also because I'm very interested to see the same thing happen to altLivia becoming a little bit like ourLivia. Whatever she thinks would happen in her mission I don't think the reality of it will make it easy for her.

It's puzzling to me, being so trusting of the writers when I've been anxious for sooo long!

Olivia should not be charming while threatening his adorable family. AND YET.

This! So. Cute. She had that little smile as she reeled of Henry Higgins (heeee!) facts.

The bit about Olivia not being a great shot was..weird, since this is OLVIA DUNHAM. Though I suppose I can wave it off as feeling the difference between being good and an Olympian.This is the weirdest! It ( ... )

*clings to your view* Yeah, I logically know there will probably still be bits of Ourlivia and maybe more, but how much and what they will do with it later is still the part that makes me nail-bitey. Summary: I AM NERVOUS, BUT STILL LOVE OLVIA LOTS. ;) Also, I love that interview you posted, and I'm giving the whole thing some time to try and grow on me (two more days left? *meep*) :)

Whatever she thinks would happen in her mission I don't think the reality of it will make it easy for her.

I hope to see this so very much, hopefully involving Rachel and Ella. If they throw in lots of Olivia's mom and maybe Elizabeth Bishop, I think I'll pull through better no matter what. ;)

And I like beccatoria's point about Olivia's tendency to downplay, but yes, so weird! Contradictorily though, I am really ok with her being all "LET OUR POWERS COMBINE" with AltLivia. :D

I agree with EVERYTHING you said about Olivia. Especially how frustrating it is to be disappointed when otherwise the stuff with her mother is just so moving and well-executed. But...I want MORE of that awful conflict with her new life and her real personality, not less and I'm worried now we have...less. But I guess I should wait and see how they play it.

Also yeah, she's a crazy good shot anyway - as grimorie said, she shot the driver of a speeding van - which I'd actually forgotten about until I watched the scene the other day while looking for vidding clips (why yes, apparently my response to vague disappointment is to start furiously making rap vids about how awesome she is *facepalm* JUST LIKE THE GOOD OLD DAYS!) but my personal fanwank is basically that she made a very difficult shot one-handed while she was also in a moving vehicle, and perhaps she just does know that while she's a good shot, she's not that good. I'd've preferred if she'd said, "Not that good," rather than "Actually, I'm not," but Olivia is fairly modest so. ( ... )

Laaatttte answer of lameness! ;)

I actually can't watch the new episodes on time this season, so I'm still technically responding to the one from two weeks ago, but I KNOW! It's pretty much the basic idea I hate, while the execution is still lovely and emotional, and I'm left resentful I couldn't adore it just as much as I wanted.

I really like the idea of Olivia's tendency to downplay a little, unless it's important, being to blame for the weirdness there, so I shall go with this answer. :) Because, I'm convinced she's already passed Olympic levels of awesome in other areas, but this doesn't hurt either. ;)
