Admittedly, I'm losing my enthusiasm for the daily updates which is bad since I'm pretty much the only person who had enthusiasm for them. (Is that the patented passive-aggressive LJ cry for attention? Possibly.) I like your bird and book posts. I especially enjoyed this one. Can't imagine why.

That is one very fine gate. Could you and Eli please come over to Dog End and replace my sagging front fence gate? Thank you.

Honestly, I think Eli should quit his job and become an itinerant fence/gate/trellis builder. Shall I send you a copy of his fee schedule?
