This is fantastic!

As a European I need to tell you how happy I was to see German and French words in a fic. Just the word Abwehr made my toes curl =) Finally I can use my knowledge of German and French for something while reading fics!

Oh and the history...oh my heart is jumping like mad...I studied history at Uni and teach it in school now *sighs happily*

I'm actually working on a Colby/Charlie WWII AU.
Charlie is a concentration camp prisoner and Colby is an american soldier...I've been reading tons of books about the camps and gay men in the camps.

Oh, wow. The Colby is easy to go for, given his canon past as a soldier, but Charlie in a camp? Wow, I can picture him frail and gaunt yet still possessing his spirit, refusing his let his brain be used for the benefit of his captors, no matter what.

I'm looking forward to that!

A history AU! I can't tell you how geek-ishly overjoyed I am. And Ian's dedication to the Fatherland, the way he's so focused in the beginning is just so perfectly, canonly him. I love how you were able to take the essence of the characters and use it an accurate AU. The sensory input, also, the way you captured the feel of the party and Ian's feelings throughout is beautifully done. I'm now going to babble incoherently in a corner now, but really, really well done!

I have been a long-time lurker on your site. I have always always always enjoyed your stories but never really had the balls to comment. But recently, I have started de-lurking now that I understand how important feedback is to keep great writers like you writing! I just wanted to share that I am always impressed at how you handle different pairings. When I first started browsing Numb3rs fanfic less than a year ago, my favorite pairing were Colby/Charlie and Don/Coop. but then I started reading eppescest, and once i was over the whole hell in a handbasket thing, I have to admit I hearted that pairing so much for all its hot and angsty goodness. I just wanted to let you know that no matter the pairing, I always enjoy the way you handle your stories and characterizations. The way you write the Numb3rs boys and girls, it is always believable, no matter who they are paired with. There is something very genuine and perceptive to your writing- not to mention HAWT HAWT HAWT. So thanks for sharing your stories. I just wanted to let you know ( ... )

PS- i forgot to actually comment on your story. So far, it has me completely hooked. Can't wait for Ian and Charlie to finally get together- it really is a beautiful piece. I can just see it all in an old black and white movie about Paris during WWII- if they actually made movies about boy love back then. Great job. Look forward to part II
