chainsaw, anyone?

Big tree fall down go boom in our yard sometime yesterday. It's one of three that were near the mouth of the driveway, something like 40 feet tall. Some sort of fir or something. I remember those trees! So amazing that it didn't hit anything important (and what a relief). Do you have any idea what caused it yet, and whether the other two might be affected?

The chopped up tree bits would be useful, as we're now attempting to do some "living" in the unheated part of the house.

Maybe ask a member of the Green Party to chop it down? The national leader of the Canadian Green Party took a chainsaw to a tree on The Rick Mercer Report a few weeks ago and loved the heady sense of power.

I have used a chainsaw quite a bit. They are frightening and dangerous tools, but they sure can cut up a tree fast.

Man, if we were in Seattle, we would be over with the chainsaw posthaste. Keith uses a chainsaw all the time because we have dead trees all over our property.
