Rio didn't make it. A kidney tumor, they think. The hospital is attached to the shelter, so when my shift's over I'm gonna bring him home. Poor little guy must've been so scared. I hope his mate will be ok.

Oh, poor little thing. Dovie may be in her final days as well. Keeping them safe and warm is sometimes all we humans can do.
