Okay, so I know next-to-nothing about any of these schools except UNC, which is admittedly borderline impossible to get into if you're out-of-state (but to offer you hope in that area, they have no interview at UNC, so the essay is insanely important, and you being a good writer, you could probably kick the essay's ass, so keep hope!), but I'd really recommend looking at U.S. News & World Reports' list of top liberal arts schools, because there are a bunch of options, and I don't think you're going to have as much trouble getting into college as you think you will. And when you're feeling really down, just keep in mind something ladylisse said to me about her college: "I just applied there as my 'I'll never get in but why the hell not apply?' choice, and I got in." And considering how awesomely she did there, it was obviously a good thing she applied. Don't be so hard on yourself.
Yeah, it's my rank out of the Senior/12th grade class. Sadly I have a bunch of smart friends who basically dominate spots 1-10 so my 51 makes me feel bad, haha.
Both small, liberal arts schools in North Carolina (that I didn't actually get around to applying to because I'm lazy and suck, but that I definitely considered).
And, hey, I second what likebunnies said. As crazy and hectic and stressful as all this is (and trust me, I remember) you will find and get into the right college. It will all work out. *hugs*

Have you considered Maryland? Or Penn State? Both have great programs but are easier to get into.
