Oh, my gosh!! Thank you so much! This comment made my entire day. <3 So in-depth and wonderful and awiruhdwiuehridone, THANK YOU!
I think it's so easy, because the boys are so mature and composed in some ways, to forget how very young they are. And neither of them without faults, either, which is something I love to mull over and discuss. Because even though Blaine is intellectually aware that Karofsky is trying to get a rise out of him, he just cannot stop himself from feeling that way and handles it so very badly. The bathroom makeout session -- and specifically, knowingly leaving a mark without telling Kurt or letting him know it was there -- is something he would NEVER ordinarily do. But Karofsky has such a lot of power over him, just as he had power over Kurt before. He's a very good manipulator, that Dave. He knows how to act to get a rise out of people, or make them upset. I'm so happy this all worked in terms of the characters' ages. <3
And oh, Blaine deflecting even though Kurt knows that something is wrong. :( Again, it's

I want to just live in your words, always. Because there is so very little perfection in the world, and yet you find it every time.
Blaine is so very...Blaine. He's naive and ridiculous and adorable (like little kitten hissing and spitting at the shadows) and just so very in love with Kurt that he's stupid with it.
Karofskly...well, we've discussed our differing views on Karofsky's character before, but once again you have made him convincing to me, even if it doesn't fit my own head canon. And creepy. Oh so very creepy.
I love that Blaine figures it out in the end, that Kurt is his equal, not some object to be protected and fought over, and how that realization just makes everything else fall away.
So much loveliness, dear, in that utterly emotional, intense, and heartbreaking way you have. *cuddles your fic incase it is the last*
Lol, thank you very much, hon. :) I'm so happy you enjoyed it!
I love your image of Blaine as a kitten hissing and spitting in the shadows. <3 It reminds me of Night of Neglect, actually, and tiny!Blaine pushing huge!Karofsky in the hallway. I'm so glad that Blaine came across so well; he's that little bit oblivious and easily-riled-up and it really doesn't go so well for him here. His love for Kurt really does make him a little bit stupid, poor bb.
It makes me very happy that, every time I write Karofsky, I get a just about even split of people going "oh, he's so creepy!" and "I feel so sorry for him ;_;". XD It makes me a happy panda.
I think that, while Blaine knew all along that Kurt isn't an object and he loves him for who he is, he gets so wrapped up in the whole drama of it that he starts unintentionally objectifying Kurt just as much as Dave is. Which is really scary, and thank goodness he comes to himself in the end. And after that? None of it matters anymore. <3 So happy you enjoyed this, honey! (School hasn't quite got

Anything you write, I will read. You have a beautiful way with words, and you just get these characters so well, make it so believable, no matter the circumstances.
And I really hope we get Blaine marking his territory to be canon, because that would be AWESOME.
Aha, thank you! <3 That's so kind of you to say! Have you read my darkish!Blaine fic? That one seems to scare away a lot of my Klaine friends. :3 But thank you so very much!! I'm so happy you enjoy the writing and characterization, darling, I'm so happy to hear that you believed this. <3
And nnngh, yes, oh my god. That would be incredible. I have, like, the ultimate possessiveness/protectiveness kink EVER in terms of emotional dilemmas and quandaries, so that would be amaaaazing. XD Thank you so much for reading!
I have always adored the way you write Blaine, and this was no exception. The struggle you portrayed within him was so gripping and intense. I could really feel the buildup between him and Karofsky.
BTW, BIG hugs for your portrayals of Karofsky and Kurt too, of course. All three characters have such different levels of strength coursing through them, such that I am always impressed to see how you balance them without one (or all) becoming too cliche.
LOVED the animalistic marking - hot and completely necessary (as only smut intimacy between the boys can be). I think it spoke so well to what Blaine was feeling in that moment, and it really infused the scene with the objectification needed for the confrontation with Dave later.
And that. was. AWESOME!! I loved how you finally let Blaine's logic and true respect of Kurt completely undress his anger and lay him bare before us all.
Finally,
And because with the softness of Kurt’s hand cradled in his own, Blaine knows that he never intends to let go, either. But he doesn’t have to

Oh, I'm so pleased and happy that Blaine came off the way I was hoping he would in this. <3 Flawed, but still the Blaine we know and love. It makes me SO happy that the emotional journey in this was effective, since it was basically a big old bag of emotions drawn out across several pages! <3 Thank you So much for reading, and for saying that the buildup was intense and exciting!
And thank you so much about Kurt and Karofsky, as well. Kurt, unfortunately, gets very much relegated to the sidelines of this fic -- but it's very much an intentional choice. Because of Karofsky's goading, Blaine is unintentionally pushing Kurt away even as he tries to draw him closer. And I'm so happy you enjoyed Dave, as well. It's such a wonderful treat, being able to write all three of these boys! I do love them!
I maaaaay or may not have a massive possessiveness/protectiveness kink because of all the ~emotions and ~conflict it draws up, so I'm totally with you on the marking thing. Mmm. And, oh, I'm SO happy you felt that the little bit of

Thank you so much, hon!! <3 As you're well aware, I am basically the biggest Kurt/Blaine/Karofsky-dynamics fangirl of all time, so it makes me very happy that you enjoy the way I write them!! Thank you so much for reading and taking the time to respond. <3
