Rain and other happenings

First, we've had a TON of rain over the past week. It's AWESOME. I've been loving it. Large storms that bring heavy rain and lots of thunder and lightning. My favorite kind of weather. (Well, unless I'm driving in it, and then it's the worst kind of weather.) I'm bummed, though, because we're not going to get any today because of some high pressure ( Read more... )

Oh, man, I've been considering undertaking therapy, and it never even occurred to me that would be a problem (one of the many things that actually happens when your real life is relatively bump-free when it comes to being out). There's one guy at work who's LDS and usually pretty nice, but he was the only person I knew who didn't congratulate me when Barb and I were married.

Good luck on the phone arriving soon -- sometimes I wonder about Fed-Ex; I once tracked a package as it zig-zagged all over the country before finally making it to Phoenix (and then was given to the USPS for delivery...?).

I had a bump-free relationship with my ex (well, except for her family who didn't like the idea of her being gay at all, but that was a given from the start of my relationship). However, several social workers did stiffen when I mentioned her, causing me to ask them if they were alright with me being gay. It was surprising how many weren't. However, I've found Monica and she's fabulous. Finding a therapist is kind of like dating - you have to try several out before finding the right one. Good luck.

You know, my address is very similar to another in the next zip code over (but the same town), and a ton of our mail gets delivered there. FedEx actually did that to me once... the tracker said it was delivered, but it wasn't at the house. I finally got a hold of the supervisor of the distribution center here. She talked to the driver who delivered the package. He had given it to the wrong house. She apologized profusely and had a driver go get it and bring it to me. The Postal Service is also bad about giving our mail to the other address ( ... )

I haven't bitten the bullet and tried a therapist yet, but I keep thinking about it. (I'd use my journal for therapy but a lot of people read it who are just the folks I can't really Talk About This Stuff with...)

Most of the time I love FedEx, but sometimes...
