Alright I've had enough with Shoujo series! The creators just seem to put drama for the sake of having drama and these cute characters or story ideas take twists and turns that make me just so depressed reading them. Grrrr.
I'm very much so the happy ending type of person and this genre/demographic is just not mixing well with me at all. Wanting

EOE... well, let's just say that I ended up watching it before I saw the whole series, so the ending didnt make any type of sense. It still doesn't, now that I think about it...
And "Imma have to choke a bitch" takes a new meaning. ^_^

Well the original series ending really made no sense, so I thought EOE made more sense than that, but that's just what I've heard. It's got to be better than the whole everyone is clapping around him ending.

I don't read a lot of shoujo but I'm liking Vampire Night so far. It might go the same route for the ending though, but so far I'm feeling confident that Zero will end up with the main girl. His love seems a lot more pure than Kaname's.
Fruits Basket had a good ending but I could have done without the "let's jump into the future and see them as an old couple" pages.
I didn't care for Perfect Girl Evolution. Kimi wa Petto was good but it's josei. That might be all that I've read in that genre, lol. Well, all I can remember off the top of my head anyway.

I only got to read a few chapters of Vampire Night, I just couldn't stand the hair on the guys, it slightly reminded me of the style of Godchild.
I've been wanting to check out Fruits Basket for awhile now, but with those types of series available on both mediums I tend to want to see the anime more than read the manga.
The one type of ending I can't stand is the one where two people who are meant to be together keep ending up apart and in the end when they're old they find their way together. It's such a "let's not be cruel bastards and let them be together right before they die" way to go.

The anime covers about 1/3 or maybe half of the manga. It's been so long it's hard to remember but I'd reccomend watching the anime and then finishing with the manga since it's likely the anime will never get a second season.
