I LOVE this show.  I just finished series 4, and I've started a rewatch of the beginning and it is funny how the first time around I had liked the first season but it was much like (White Collar) in that every episode got better than the last and I would rank each successive season/series ahead of the one it preceeded.  But now going through it

Merlin really was fun this last season. I enjoyed the whole Emrys thing, too, but I SO wish one of the main cast would learn the secret. It's time for a "Chloe finds out by accident but doesn't tell Clark" storyline, don't you agree? No more Agravaine finds out just before dying, okay? ;)

I'm also hopeful that Merlin can help Morgana come back toward the light, though it would change the myths a bit to do so.

I've always thought of Merlin fandom as being pretty large. Is there really not a podcast for it already?

Yes, I do think someone needs to learn the secret (I did like the idea that Lancelot knew especially when the Knights became more regular characters in Series 3) but they rarely took advantage of that. It probably has to be Gwen, a few times they seemed to tease that she might find out, but I do think they might use the Emrys angle to keep things interesting, considering Arthur blames him for Uther's death. Maybe Gwen would find out Emrys is good first instead of finding out Merlin has magic
