I LOVE this show.  I just finished series 4, and I've started a rewatch of the beginning and it is funny how the first time around I had liked the first season but it was much like (White Collar) in that every episode got better than the last and I would rank each successive season/series ahead of the one it preceeded.  But now going through it

Yes, I do think someone needs to learn the secret (I did like the idea that Lancelot knew especially when the Knights became more regular characters in Series 3) but they rarely took advantage of that. It probably has to be Gwen, a few times they seemed to tease that she might find out, but I do think they might use the Emrys angle to keep things interesting, considering Arthur blames him for Uther's death. Maybe Gwen would find out Emrys is good first instead of finding out Merlin has magic.

Not like they haven't played around with the myth already, tweaking Gwen, Lancelot's sacrifice, Mordred .. It just feels like Morgana is stuck out on this island because of her being evil and I want to see some scenes where she's interacting with the other three without fighting going on. Morgana/Agravaine did nothing for me and how great was that little talk between Morgana and Arthur in the finale? (I'm still a bit wonky about how Morgana/Agravaine's hatred for Uther seems to have just tranferred to Arthur without any doubt). Maybe Merlin will be tempted by the dark?

Yeah I've thought that way too about the fandom but just some cursory searches through itunes for merlin didn't produce anything fan related that I could see, so if there are some they aren't on there. Even fan sites for the show, I found more results for sites on the actors than the show itself. It surprised me a little, which makes me want to do one even more if there isn't much competition.
