i wasn't expecting to like the d/c one when i read it, because i find enemas to be inherently hilarious no matter the context, but i was surprised by how much i did like it. i think it's the element of trust that went into it, dean's incredulity of cas's complete acceptance of him. i loved that they still seemed to be relatively early into the relationship (at least that's how i read it, with the "i don't know my limits"), kind of figuring each other out.
Dean and Castiel do the weirdest things with emotional fic. For some reason if I try and write something flat out emotional it just doesn't work for them, but if I try and write something funny or squicky, they get all super-sweet in their own weird way.
I was surprised that I ended up having the guts to write it ^^, but then again, I felt the same about the watersports fill that round. Oh, Dean/Cas, what you do to me!
It's funny, but the dirtier the prompts are for Dean and Castiel, the more openly emotional I can make them with one another - I really enjoyed writing a watersports fill for them last round because of it being such an intimate thing by nature.
Unstable reminded me of one of my favourite fandoms - Legacy of Kain - where pretty much everything written with Janos Audron has at least some element of wing kink to it. It was fun to go back to the practicalities of wing sex!
And I'm glad you liked Irresistable, I'm always kind of uncomfortable writing non-con so it's good to see other people enjoying it :).
I think maybe part of the reason I didn't mind writing it too much is that a) it's from the victim, not the perpetrator's point of view and b) even though Jo is suffering and what's happening to her is horrible, she doesn't really 'break', so to speak. I know for some people that's the whole kink of non-con, but it's a squick for me in a way because it makes it too real and too painful :X.
I could probably write Meg/Castiel non-con with her on top for similar reasons - I think non-con where the power balance isn't completely overwhelmingly one-sided takes away a bit of the creepiness that can make other kinds of non-con unreadable.
But of course, everyone's mileage varies :). I don't think I'll ever be into non-con personally, reading or writing it, but I'm willing to experiment with it once in a while for other people!
