Really? I thought the restaurant scene in ASIP was a lot more "You're gay and trying to ask me out" on both sides, and Sherlock letting him down gently. More, uh, blatantly heavy atmosphere between them anyway. The conversation in the pilot was CUTER, for sure, but he was also way more no-nonsense "Okay, no, I'm not a sexual person k" while still rocking the boy toy/skinny jeans look XD

What about the TROLOLO BATMAN moment with John seeing Sherlock on top of that building XD JOHN LIVES WITH BAT-TWINK.

Sherlock's hair evolved into a better, more wild and beautiful animal in ASIP. During the pilot I was SO distracted.

We can call this one the vampire AU, y/y? because I think I've already classified the pilot as a splinter universe.

I think the characters on the whole just feel... *younger* in the pilot. In the actual show the scene felt more "This could be me asking you out, but it could just be me being kind of curious and cool with the idea in general", which is atmospheric and sweeter, while in the pilot it felt more to me like "You don't have a girl- DOYOUHAVEABOYFRIENDNOTTHATIAMINTERESTED" "IAMNOTINTERESTED" "FUCKSOCKS". It was more... obvious? Less romantic, certainly XD. I like both takes, really. It just felt more blatant in the pilot to me ( ... )

It's worth watching just for comparison's sake, I'd say :). It's not as good as the final show but it's so much fun looking at it - you can see where they drew the final show from, the themes and characters and settings, but it's so unpolished and it's sweet. Plus, it's totally the gay vampires AU. XD XD XD

So much yes :). Plus I think Lestrade in the aired episodes was fascinating because of the relationship between him and Sherlock - the power balance is much, much more equal in the show and it's a lot of fun. Plus, I like that show!Lestrade is evidently more competent than pilot!Lestrade.

I AM REALLY TEMPTED TO SCOUR THE FIVE ACTS MEMES FOR SOMEONE WITH A BITING KINK AND SHERLOCK LISTED. SO, SO TEMPTED.

I would like to say, I wasn't going to watch Sherlock at all until you wrote posts about it, and then I watched the first one out of curiosity.

It is now eating my life. But I'm happy with that. XD So thank you! <3

P.S. Sherlock's skinny jeans in the unaired pilot made me giggle indecently for a while...

ONE OF US ONE OF US ONE OF US

It is a ridiculously awesome amount of fun. You are more than welcome <3.

Sherlock's skinny jeans in the pilot, rather oddly, didn't even click with me. I was all about the MOAR BURGUNDY SHIRT YESSSSSS.

It's marvellous rewatching it at DVD quality. Heck, I might as well admit I'd probably get the series on blu-ray if I could XD
