is it me or was the pirates of the caribbean Monkey Island the movie, the only thing missing was the voodoo lady - no she was there
okay the only thing missing was the rubber chicken with the pulley in the middle

It's quite circular, actually :) - the Monkey Island game creators openly admitted to being inspired by the original ride; and the Pirates of the Caribbean film creators admitted to taking inspiration from the ride and Monkey Island. But as Monkey Island was made by LucasArts, and they've had ties with Disney for a while, it's all very incestuous really.

The gratuitous anachronisms were generally missing, yeah - and I STILL CANNOT GET OVER how much in the first scene in the Governor's mansion with his hair the ponytail, HOW MUCH Orlando Bloom looked like Guybrush Threepwood.

Elizabeth was no Elaine though :(, you've got that right, although I am rather fond of her. I just wouldn't elope with her given half a chance.

I really do have a Kanye moment over this game because it REALLY IS THE BEST GAME OF ALL TIME. OF ALL TIME.

And hee, wouldn't surprise me if we've had a word about it before <3, I heart it at length and openly and oh, man, I am so excited to grab a copy of this I could explode.

It's okay bb, it meant instead of weeks and months of build up I just got to wake up one day and go WHAT OH MY GOD OH MY GOD THIS IS AWESOME WAIT ~WHAT~ IT'S OUT *NOW*?!?!?! OH MY GOD MY LIFE, IT IS MAAAAAADE and therefore it was all very exciting and just :D.

I umm and ahh about Tales of Monkey Island on account of it being a bit like the later Silent Hills to the original Silent Hills, I know it's mostly fanmade, but at the same time... Monkey Island! *decisions, decisions!*
