Finished updating my Supernatural and Stargate: Atlantis recs lists, as well as putting them into pairing order, so I'm feeling accomplished and I have a legitimate reason to update

Hehe, the anti-inflammatories he's given me are rather lovely, although unfortunately they do bugger-all about the stitch I got in my side when pottering around on a crutch! Serves me right for being stubborn ;).
But yeah, I can't wait for this cold to finally, finally disappear all the way so that I can at least WRITE while partially crippled!
Aww. <3 Glad to hear you had such a pleasant experience. I had some great doctors when I broke my arm back in January...my doctor for monitoring the healing process is a bit impersonal, though. I liked my other X-ray tech, though. She always narrowed the X-ray field to avoid unnecessarily exposing my breast, which is a Good Thing. The male tech today didn't, though. :( Ah well. Once probably won't hurt me anyway.
And lol, foot rub, by a hamster. That sounds cute. XD
Oh. And I'm working on a master table for the mission_insane fic challenge. With springkink being neglected this round, I had to do something with my spare time.
....but two hundred fics? Oi. XD; I BLAME YOU FOR MY NEWFOUND DDS OBSESSION.
And I mustmustmust resist looking at that mission_insane myself o_0. Because otherwise I'm so, so, so going to end up doing it half and half across Supernatural and Stargate: Atlantis and I MUST RESIST MUST MUST MUST.
Hehe, the best reaction I've ever got out of a doctor was when I burnt the skin off my right hand; I've never seen such a "HOLY CRAP OH GOD WHAT IS THAT" expression in my life XD.
In all fairness, when the dead skin started dropping off, it WAS gross. But awesome :D, especially if, like me, you'd noticed that the dead skin had no feeling and was tough as nails so until it fell off and the new skin showed through I honestly had NO IDEA whether I'd be regaining full use of my fingers or not :X. Thankfully, the answer was full use = yay :D.
*is already working on her first table* Oh God, Sheffield, you are such a horrendous asshole. And O'Brian is a sweetheart with a very short fuse for such bullshit shenanigans.
But lol on freaking a doctor out like that. XD Though how'd you burn your hand? That must have hurt. :x
How in god's name did you get GOUT? I thought gout was DEAD! O_______________o I'm glad your doctor was awesome and that you're going to be okay, but askfhalsfh! *HUGS FOR THE EMMYNESS!*
Seriously though, we've no idea why it just struck out of the blue, but it's quite common on my dad's side of the family. I'm just the first woman to get it. Which is BIZARRE, as it's not meant to affect women anywhere NEAR as much as men, but there you go!
*snuggles you*
(And scurvy is supposed to be dead too, but my dad still managed to get that once XD. The way we're going, I'm now paranoid about smallpox and/or tuberculosis XD)

As to the hand injury, I'm afraid the answer is BOILING HOT SOUP. I basically cooked my right hand, but thank GOD, it healed pretty much perfect :).
Didn't stop me getting my mystery blisters in the middle of summer, but still!
