Wow, that music is great! Love the video too, although I have to say I needed to turn away from it every few seconds. LOL.
It's been hot as hell down here and unbelievably humid! Glad you have a nice place to see some fireworks. I usually just stay home and watch some from the hallway of my building. I'm up high enough so that I can see some off in the distance.
this icon reminds me that I need to turn down the A/C, it is really hot out today!
Yeah, I totally missed the fireworks the whole time I was in Pacifica: that little town was too poor to do their own (though I still think they could have found businesses to pay for them if they had just TRIED), and I didn't want to get onto the highways full of drinking/partying people to go somewhere with fireworks....
The reservoir is an easy walk from my house so I can just stroll over there at dusk and enjoy the walk home afterwards (I'll spray on LOTs of bug spray of course).
Yeah, mosquitos, and chiggers are eating us alive... luckily I haven't seen any ticks (yet). I do wish Summer didn't have to be quite so hot and uncomfortable! LOL
I enjoy Burn Notice immensely but they still haven't started showing season 4 of it over here, let alone season 5.
I'm looking forward to the new Torchwood but I'll be (begrudgingly) waiting for the UK airing - at least we'll get a few more minutes each episode but still...
Wait... we're getting Torchwood here in the USA first?!?!?! BEFORE you see it in the UK!?!? I wonder who came up with that idea? So weird. And of course we get more ads here in the USA... that was also true of BtVS and everything shown here (when the DVDs come out we finally get to see the whole show).
I'm glad to hear you like Burn Notice, it is a great show, but I don't even know that many people who watch it.... Personally I would watch it just for Bruce Campbell (although I love everyone on the show).
Bruce Campbell was precisely why I started watching it in the first place but the whole ensemble is great. I'm glad they got rid of Fiona's accent though - I still occasionally say "Moooiameeeee" randomly.
Torchwood is weird though not without precedent - you got The Five Doctors and the 1996 TVM a few days before we did. While I could download it, I'd rather wait and watch the UK version which will have three or four extra minutes (presumably character moments). Did you know they sped up the Who mid-season finale to make it fit the time slot?
Actually I didn't know the US ever got any Doctor Who before you because I've always watched the downloaded versions from the UK (I've never been able to get BBC America, except for that one brief month I was in NYC).
And speeding up the mid-season finale is insane; it was already moving way too fast for my brain! LOL
