Wednesday in NYC is FANTASTICK!!

 Hi!
I had a very fun day today... of course I started off screwing up getting into the subway:  I was trying to get through one of those big turn-style entrances, and it kept catching, so I couldn't enter... I ended up swiping my card 3 times (ie PAYING THREE TIMES!) just to get in...  i'll use a different entrance without that thing next time.

comic book fun (it was Wednesday after all!) )

bubba's, comics, nyc, the fantasticks

I've been to Times Square once, and I was like 6 years old so I don't remember a whole lot. I'm surprised though that there aren't that many shops though.

I was surprised too... but I guess rents are too high? Anyway every available cubby hole is filled with souvenir shops which all have the same crap (and I didn't want a T-shirt, I wanted cool book stores and curio shops). I guess I'll have to hunt elsewhere for those things! I was also surprised that there weren't great restaurants there, just places like Olive Garden, Red Lobster, Applebee's, and all the other boring places to eat... Luckily there are some awesome restaurants here at the upper West side...

I'm guessing you find all the cool stuff in the smaller neighborhoods.

yeah, I need to spend a day exploring Greenwich Village, and even get down to Tribeca (where JFK, Jr lived, I'm betting a lot of upscale shops have opened in that trendy area!)... actually there are a lot of very cool areas here in Manhattan!
I love NY! lol

the writer/director is Tom Bell, and he had appeared in the show ages ago, and again now, using the pseudonym Thomas Bruce, and he isn't singing or in a major role: he is the elderly player (called Henry) who can't remember his Shakespeare lines even tho he thinks he can ( ... )
