 Hi!
I had a very fun day today... of course I started off screwing up getting into the subway:  I was trying to get through one of those big turn-style entrances, and it kept catching, so I couldn't enter... I ended up swiping my card 3 times (ie PAYING THREE TIMES!) just to get in...  i'll use a different entrance without that thing next time.

I went to Wondercon early today, but I skipped the promotion of Watchmen and the new Star Trek movie, it isn't like I wouldn't have enjoyed them... but I was more interested in making sure I got to meet Felicia Day:

Last night I read a wonderful graphic novel based on the 9/11 Report, they took the facts laid out by the Government commission and put it into a beautiful graphic style which is dramatic, and easy to follow.  I was really impressed with it.  I loved the writing and art work, and I really recommend it.

This weekend is the Wonder Con, comic book convention, in San Francisco. 
This evening I passed up the chance to see Kristen Bell and Brandon Fraiser promoting second rate movies (coming to a theater near you soon), and instead I went to see some comic artists I admire.

I've been reading some really wonderful compilations of comics lately
(they aren't really graphic novels since they were originally published as series, but it is fun to get them bound together with the entire story in one place).  The most recent ones are actually about comic books, which is very fun (kind of like how Jane Austen's Northanger ( Read more... )
