My new semester of ceramics has begun, I am again taking Raku
(because I am crazy about the flashier glazes and intense colors), and I am continuing working on masks because nothing interests me as deeply as the human face:

That last one is very nice. I like the color. And I like the first one too. Too bad you can't sell some of those. I know you said that they told you in the class you couldn't sell them, but how would they know if you did?

well I'll confess that I did bring a few into a great shop in Berkeley once, but they were already feeling over-whelmed with 'stuff' (having more inventory than space), so they weren't interested. I've been thinking that I should take them around to other shops around here and just see... but for most of them I would have to come already set up with a sales tax ID# number and other business requirements. I guess I should just set all that up, just in case, and do it.... Maybe after I get my taxes done.

Maybe you can also sell them on that Cafe shop thing.

This is something you enjoy and if you keep doing it, you're going to wind up with a room full of stuff yourself. It would be nice if you can make at least some money from your efforts. At least enough to pay for the classes. :)

luckily the classes aren't terribly expensive...
and I do really enjoy them a lot, just for the therapeutic value they are worth the $200/semester (3 month long class)

But you're right, it would be fun to sell some; but when you think of it: I've given a lot away as gifts and I have then saved the money I would have spent on the gifts! LOL
