ceramics: weird little head

Here is a ceramic piece which is finally finished:
weeks ago I built this with a couple of slabs of clay, a round piece as the bottom, a long piece wrapped around the bottom and folded over to make the nose of my weird little head, but left rough enough to show how it was created, a strip added as a handle, and finally I added the weird little eyes

Well, he's a scary looking little guy, but he looks like he could be some sort of elf/troll. It's kind of cool though.

Yep. What I was thinking. He'd make a good Halloween goodie basket. He is really interesting, though, and the glazing is really neat. I'd love to see what he'd look like with flowers coming out of his head! hee hee.

I was really happy with the strangeness (trollishness) of his look...and I think if I put in lots of short flowers then maybe the handle would look like a head band.

I'm sure I will eventually come up with a use for him, or my niece will get him for her birthday and then he'll be her problem!

He's got lots of character! If you put flowers in him, I wanna see a picture. He'd also be good for holding paint brushes or something like that, wouldn't he?
