Contigo is such a cute name for a restaurant! It means "With you", right? The food sounds really great. I LOVED churros y chocolate when I was in Barcelona!

Yup! Contigo means "with you." It's fitting for their neighborhood feeling, friendly service, blog reader participation in finding the name, eco-responsibleness, how they work with various farmers and purveyors to get the food to the table, etc. "&" (Ampersand) was the runner-up in the name picking process. Same sort of sentiment, had a nice nod to Noe Valley's boom during the dot com era, but didn't reflect the Spanish cuisine.
