Sadly, most of my attempts to communicate have not had what i call succes. I am going to try and bite the bullet and try some discords, though they really make me uncomfortable. I'm not the quickest at coming up with responses and im afraid i'll just look slow and sort of stupid

I also really struggle with how to connect and interact on tumblr. I've had some luck interacting on discord, but it can also be a bit overwhelming.

I haven't read the maze runner books but I love the movies. It has a great cast and especially Dylan Obrien!

It's lovely to hear from you. I've been blocked from LJ for the past year or so, and was not aware that you were back among us.

I'm so used to the way LJ operates in terms of connection and communication I can't quite deal with the Tumblr way, though some people seem to make it work with no problem.

The first book of Maze Runner is really good, but there is one scene in it that they changed in the movie, that really angered me. It was such a simple scene that really meant so much to me. I hated that they left it out.

Ive read the fist 3 books, but only seen the one movie. I have the other two, just haven't watched them yet. As a general rule i'm not usually impressed with young YA based actors, but Dylan O'Brien is the exception to the rule. I think he's amazing in anything I've seen him in.

I wish he would do more mainstream acting! He's so talented I think he could make a name for himself.

I also agree about tumblr. I really struggle there... and you are right some people just have no problem with it ... and I'm so confused how they manage!

I don't think anyone is getting much comment love on LJ any more. It's the site, not the quality of the work.

Continue to write for yourself. If others enjoy it, great. If not, eh.

My newest fandom obsession is Cal Leandros (urban fantasy series). I may be writing in that fandom this year. Lord knows I've used up a tree or two jotting down ficlet ideas.

Hey lovey, i was so sure you'd be talking about my new kitty, (or cat rather) since you've so many. How you do it is amazing. One cat and im at wits end on keeping litter box clean and finding food she'll eat, (and not throw up immediatly after due to hairball situations) I greatly admire your cat ability.

While the writing for myself is a great thing to do, I seem to be blocked at doing even that. I used to be bursting with fic ideas. Now i have maybe 1 a month, then when i write down the plot line, so i won't forget, (a problem with growing older) my brain seems to think its been written and considers it a done deal. It's so annoying.

I'm not familiar with Cal Leandros, who's the author? or is that the Author?

New kitties for the win! She may be throwing up if she's eating too fast. If that's the case, try just giving her a few pieces of kibble at a time, or else putting marbles in her dish so she has to take her time nosing around them to eat the food.

Cal Leandros is the name of the series of books, written by Rob Thurman. It's been compared to the TV show "Supernatural" for the 'monster-hunting brothers' theme.

My cat is a ridiculous pig who eats way too fast, unless i've tried to slow her down then she just gets pissy and acts like a spoiled brat. the vet took her off of the kibble, as she's way way too fat. Seriously, she's a chunky thing. I can barely lift her.

Hey, hey!! I don't know why I didn't see this post until now, but so lovely to see a post from you! Since you and I have chatted on the phone, you know that I've come "out of retirement" to write some HP fanfic, but I honestly haven't been involved in any new fandoms in a decade. And I never understood Tumblr. :P

Which Marvel storylines/characters do you like most?

I like the Marvel Universe, and tend to like the less popular characters like Black widow and Hawkeye, and i'm a bit over the moon about the new Hawkeye tv series characters: Kate Bishop and Yelena (natasha's sister). they are pretty awesome together. Of the old school pairings i like Steve and Tony and Tony and Peter Parker (Spiderman)(but that one more about the father/son relationship than anything romantic or sexual)

I'm about 1/3 of the way through your story. enjoying it very much. but work has been kickin my arse. I barely manage to feed self and chunky cat before i've passed out each evening.

I thought you were interested in Expanse? Or is that more you just enjoy the show, but not interested in any more exploration than that.

I was enjoying the Loki series and watched the first few episodes of season 1 last year and I'm sure I'll finish out both seasons. Hiddleston as Loki is just SO fun.

I'm thrilled that you've had any time to read any of it! There's a lot of conversation. *sigh* But I'm trying to get the first draft done and then I'll edit it and Wolfie has said he'll review it, and hopefully you as well. So sorry to hear that work is being so difficult!!

I am very interested in The Expanse. We're watching the final season now. I'm in the library queue for both the audiobook and book version of the final 9th book as well. I'm more interested in the books in a way, because they're richer, but I've really been enjoying the tv series as well.

I am so happy you have cat in your home! I can't imagine my life without a cat in my home, anymore. It sounds like she needed a safe place, poor little one! Sadly, I recently lost Guido, but Pedink is doing ok as a single cat. In a few months I will get him a new companion

I'm happy to have her, but i had not realized how much work they can be, and how annoyingly fickle they can be--about everything!

I have been watching the Wheel of Time on Prime. I'm enjoying it, and can't wait for the next season. I had read the first 4 books of the series, but got annoyed with them. It seemed that every new book started with places and people and events that I had no idea of what was happening. It was usually at least a hundred pages or more before we were back with those i recognized.

But my mother was crazy about the books. Always bought each one the day it came out, Hardback and all. She did the same with the George RR Martin books as well. She was a total fantasy nut.

ARE you still involved in the Supernatural RPS that you were a few years back? How did you like the ending of the show? I would have preferred to have left that last episode off commpletley and have the one next to last be the last one. It felt more like a real ending, not a "Lets wrap up all the loose ends" ending that it ended up being.

Yes. I sill RP,primarily as Jody, but also Donna. Billie, and occasionally Ellen. Our group canon is that the last episode never happened. We started at the barn with Dean injured, called Cas, who healed him, then went from there.

So, no, lol, I didn't like the finale. At all.
