Jason was finally able to capture some pictures of Lukas smiling, something that we get to see everyday but never seem to have the camera ready for. my sleep is so out of wack. For the past several nights, I've stayed up till 4ish either with the baby or waiting for him to wake up for a feeding and then slept till 8 or 9. so the family all ventured out for our biweekly library trip where we checked out some dvds. I headed first to the children's section because I wanted to get some of the baby einstein dvds for Lukas. My son is crazy talented. He always wakes when someone runs the bath. It's like he knows that we are trying to sneak away for ten minutes instead of keeping our sentry at his side. It's amusing and frustrating. He'll sleep so well for part of the day but when it comes to nighttime, he's a totally different baby - fuss monster 2000. He can ( Read more... )

Hi all! Just a first tiny update to let you know that I'm home with my precious bundle today. Lukas was born on Dec 3rd at 12:20 PM (coincidentally I was born at that exact time on Dec 23rd, eery isn't it). He arrived after a shortish labor of 9 hours (my water broke first at 3 am) and weighed in at 6 lbs 9.5 oz. He's 19.5 inches long and doing ( Read more... )
